Despite the simplicity of writing the draft, i was still disappointed in last friday’s class, mainly because i’ve never been a large fan of peer editing. i’ve always found it tedious, ineffective, inefficient, annoying, and potentially dangerous. i don’t argue that the concept of peer editing is a brilliant one. in a perfect scenario students take their knowledge and put it to the test while picking up a few hints at the same time, but unfortunately, a peer editing session rarely runs this perfectly. in every class you are bound to find several students who simply don’t care enough about another person’s work, and as a consequence they tend to miss things.
